Tokyo Sewerage Designs

Tokyo’s sewerage covers tell a story of their own through official symbols, commemorative designs, and Earth-kun. Cherry blossoms, ginkgo leaves, and the black-headed gull appear among the motifs in the collection. Other covers mark anniversaries or present the bureau’s character, showing how the infrastructure beneath the city can also carry its public identity on the surface.
