Nishiwaga Town, located in the western part of Iwate Prefecture, on the border of Akita Prefecture, is ``a village of four seasons and hot springs like no other''. You can enjoy hot springs throughout the town, including ``Hotto Yuda,'' which is rare in the country to have a hot spring attached to a station building, and ``Sunayukko,'' which has the first sand bath in Tohoku. In the winter, the region receives heavy snowfall of up to 2 meters, and events such as ``snow lights'' and ``snowball fights'' that utilize the snow are popular.
